Bill C-27 Recommendations

AIGS Canada prepared a detailed brief with recommended amendments to the Bill C-27 AI & Data Act, currently being studied by the House of Commons Standing committee on Industry and Technology.

Read AIGS's initial written submission on Bill C-27, and our feedback on the Minister's amendments.

Finally, AIGS was also invited to provide oral testimony: see L'Allié's opening statement and the full hearing.

Government submissions

AIGS Canada is regularly invited by federal government agencies to provide expert feedback. This includes participation in ISED's consultation on the Voluntary Code of Conduct, the Treasury Board Secretary's consultation on its AI Strategy for the Public Service. Most recently, we submitted written briefs for the Compute Access Fund allocation (full submission here) and Directive on Automated Decisionmaking (full submission here).
