AIGS Canada Founder and Executive Director Wyatt Tessari L’Allié appeared before the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy, and Ethics concerning the Challenges posed by AI and its regulation.
In his opening remarks, L’Allié shared highlights from AIGS Canada’s report, Preparing for the AI Crisis: A Plan for Canada.
“If we want, we can try to play whack-a-mole with current AI impacts and ignore the bigger picture within which they fit. We can try to deny or dismiss what the leading labs are building, wasting the limited time we have to prepare.
