COURSE VISION

This course prepares participants to join the conversation among Canadian policymakers on AI governance. Our mission is to empower early-career professionals to contribute to ensuring that advanced AI is safe and beneficial for all.. The focus is specifically on high-impact and advanced general-purpose AI.

FOR WHOM

This course is a good fit for you if you have a solid understanding of the risks from AI and a keen interest in AI policy. For example, if you have taken the Bluedot Impact AI Governance Course, we consider you to have the minimum required background knowledge. We do not necessarily expect you to have a formal education or work experience in policy, however, we are looking for the participants who show the strongest potential to contribute to original policy work after this course. STRUCTURE

  • Starts June 25, 2025 and the following five Wednesdays at 7 pm EST
  • 6-week course composed of mandatory prep content (approx. 2-3 h) and a 90 min weekly online session
  • Synchronous sessions focus on insights into the Canadian policy landscape and preparing participants to join the policy conversation. This will entail, e.g., presentations on the key stakeholders and on how to publish policy proposals
