Wyatt Tessari L’Allié is the Founder and Executive Director of AI Governance and Safety Canada.
One of Canada’s leading voices on the governance of advanced AI, Wyatt has a track record of leadership and a wide range of accomplishments. He is trained as an engineer, has directed a feature film, and run for political office to push for climate action. Wyatt is the author of A Path Forward This Century, a call-to-action for the 21st century that outlines the key challenges we face in the coming decades, while presenting a new narrative for understanding the big picture, and putting forward a vision of a positive future.
In 2021, he moved to Ottawa to translate that work into government action. Connecting Canadians interested in safety and governance across the country, he incorporated AIGS Canada in 2023. He has since authored ground-breaking white papers, testified before parliamentary committees, and is regularly featured in the news.
